Organicfest 2010 Entertainment
Jeff Michaels was born in the apple country of New York State in 1958 where he was influenced by the "we can change the world" music of the seventies. After making a living playing music in California in the eighties (also learning to survive on potatoes and oranges), Jeff moved to Atlanta, rural Virginia, Seattle, and in 1993 to Hendersonville, where he resides with his wife and 3 children. He now works as a home health nurse, and continues to write songs, playing Sundays at church, and elsewhere when he can. Some thirty years of song-writing and recording in basement studios (thanks, ebay!) has allowed Jeff to produce a few home-grown CD's, one of which you may take home with you today! For free. Enjoy!

Wind is locally known as a street musician who plays the bamboo flutes and penny whistles. He currently is performing in and around Asheville singing with his acoustic guitar. Wind has been blessed to meet and perform with some national and internationally renowned recording artists and performers such as Peter Gabriel and Wynne Paris. You may have seen him perform as the lead singer with one of the bands Shiva or Cool Project. One of the greatest experience's Wind has had has been playing music with and for Great Bonobo Apes for which he is an activist. Wind supports organic food and is concerned for the world's food supply because of bio-engineering and the deforestation of the rain forests. This will be the 3rd time Wind has performed at the Oganicfest. He has also performed for the Asheville Rolling Thunder events as well as other such events in Asheville.
High Light ~ Organic originals from three local musicians combine to create & have musical fun. Peter Paul & Mary meet Dylan, Pink Floyd & the Eagles for a familiar harmonic sound that is just plain easy on the ear. Stop by to say hello to these local yokels. They'll appreciate it! A special thanks to Lance for his role as the Organicfest Entertainment Director!

Sirena Squires, Native American Flutist with guest Tina Powell
Fresh in
Asheville coming from Northern California, Sirena has been enchanting the West with her flute playing for years. She is excited to now be here in Asheville where she can share her musical talent, and the sacred energy of the
flutes with us here in the East. Her music is all original, created in the moment, and deeply moving. With her special guest, Tina Powell, appearing on the frame drum, this duo will captivate you with their haunting
collaborations.

Allen Hayes
Allen has played guitar, written songs and performed
for most of his life. He was part of a folk band, the Wayfaring Strangers in the Raleigh/Durham/ Chapel Hill area of North Carolina in the 1990's. He is currently leading the group All Natural Ingredients, an
eclectic folk group based in Asheville, NC.
Whether with a group or solo, Allen has played a variety of venues such as coffee houses, restaurants, house concerts, church services, parties and festivals.
He has shared the stage with Craig Carothers, the Sons of Ralph, and Claire Holley.
Allen gravitates to music based on singer/songwriters with guitars. His major influences are The Beatles,
John Denver, Jim Croce, John Prine, Paul Simon, Don McLean, Craig Carothers, Steve Seskin, Jon Vezner, Kathy Mattea, Don Henry, Pat Donohue, Kate Campbell,
among others. Allen's own songs tend to be slice-of-life songs that range from light-hearted to thoughtful and silly to sad. Regardless, Allen's songs are rooted in some truth or day-to-day reality that attempt to speak
to everyone. Allen recently completed his first CD, "LANDFALL".
Debra Forbes, a fellow participant in a song writing circle has said: "Allen, you kill me. You play like no one
else. You write so well. Your melodies are lovely. You touch me every time in some way with every song ...Your songs bring calm and peace to me". 828-545-1520 email: hayes335125@bellsouth.net

Lyndsay Wojcik Born a Georgia peach, singer songwriter Lyndsay Wojcik has been
performing most of her life.
With a mixture of roots, folk and soul, her songs bring a refreshing twist to the often repetitive style of the conmercial music industry. A visual artist as well, Lindsay approaches her
songwriting with a sense of color and her lyrics paint an interpretation of life onto the audience as if they were a canvas.
" I live within each line I write and realize that most people walk up each day
discouraged in having to go to jobs they hate. I'm blessed to wake up knowing that today is another day to live a full and beautiful life doing what I love. My hopes are that people will find my music refreshing and I wish
that same dream for them. "
